I began my career in the world of photojournalism, working domestically as well as covering the Middle East and Africa. Assignments have taken me to Congo, Pakistan, Rwanda, Chile, Cuba, Antarctica, and Iraq. My work has appeared in Newsweek, Time Magazine, US News and World Report, and The  New York Times, among others. After a decade of working for newspapers, magazines, and photo agencies, I branched out and started working in film and television. I continue to work as a photographer on a handful of assignments a year and on personal projects. In addition, I work as an educator, teaching photography workshops as well as hosting several educational videos on Lynda.com (LinkedLearning).
